Broadcast from Los Angeles, the concert will raise awareness and support for high impact charities dedicated to accelerating positive mental and brain wellness across all cultures. GIFT’s partnership with legendary pop music drummer Kenny Aronoff is focused on helping people recover from war trauma. Kenny is committed to working with GIFT across America to help improve the lives of veterans and active duty military suffering from PTSD. This mindfulness stress reduction program is based on the work of Delaware-based psychologist Jenna Tedesco. Sam Beard and GIFT philanthropy director Phil Caputo attended a benefit concert organized by Kenny in Milwaukee on March 17. The Grand Slam Charity Jam raised more than $100,000 to support a free camp for children of veterans who lost their lives in combat Kenny will be working with Sam and Phil to organize similar benefit concerts toincrease outreach of mindfulness training services for veterans and their families.

Kenny Aronoff works in collaboration with GIFT to help veterans suffering from PTSD access mindfulness training

Camp Hometown Heroes serves children and siblings between the ages of seven and seventeen of fallen U.S. Military members and provides week-long summer camp sessions and other healing programs free of charge.

On March 17, 2018 GIFT Founder and President, Sam Beard, joined Jim and Laura Kacmarcik to celebrate the work of Camp Hometown Heroes at the Grand Slam Charity Jam in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. More than 600 guests came together to raise significant funding for the expansion of the camp and under the leadership of musical director and legendary drummer, Kenny Aronoff, danced late into the night.
